The Savoy serves a regional community of around 20,000 people.
It was built in the 60's to serve a large temporary population
during the building of the snowy hydro scheme and has just opened
its
second screen..

The projector & lmphouse were recycled from auditorium one
that had two projectors,
but all the audio equipment was new to maintain quality reproduction.New
lenses were
fitted to ensure image quality on the screen. Here the projection
room
is shown in the early stages of installation.

The brief was not to compromise quality or comfort, but be budget
conscious.
The sound is powered by Krix speakers and a Panastereo processor,
with
stunning results even for the size of the auditorium.

Final touches to the masking the morning before opening.

The above picture is truly a testament to what can be achieved
on a
sensible budget, a luxurious finish with style. The top mask is
down
making a very large screen area when it goes up to widescreen.
The final product was perfect, and business is booming! The
client is happy as Larry or Ray! Congratulation!! We are now confident
that 2002 will mark the opening of cinema 3!
